Weddings, Baby Shower, Friends, Study, Sick....equals BUSY

Well, I have officially got my date for my licensure exam. I will be taking the BIG EXAM on Oct. 4th at 12:30 in San Antonio. I am kinda nervous, but I feel like I have been studying forever and I don't know that there is anything else that I can do to better prepare myself. I've been sending up lots of prayers for a good rest the night before and no nerves pestering me leading up to the big day.

Two Weekends ago, I got to go with my dad to a wedding in Hamilton. That is a long drive for a wedding, but it was well worth it because I got to spend time with Bahama Mamma (aka Courtney) and my dad got to perform the ceremony for a close family friend. It was nice to be a part of something so special.  Congrats Nick and Mekka.

Last weekend one of my best friends came into town. I got to spend some time with her and my little nephew :) He is so cute and I love it when he loves on me. I also got to go to Manor for a baby shower for Crystal (one of  my big sisters!). I can NOT wait until I get to meet Mr. Braeden Kelly McDade for the first time!!!

On my way home from Manor (well Hutto, actually) I started feeling kinda sick and the next day I had a sore throat and my sinuses were full. OHHHHH BOY...I have been sick ever since. THANK GOD the sore throat left...it is still miserable, but I would much rather the stuffy nose and ears and HORRIBLE cough.

Hopefully I will be feeling better Saturday because one of my childhood friends is getting married in Austin. Don't want to miss it.

Well, thats all I got for now! You are all caught up...I THINK!!!! :D

I am watching the Minnesota Vikings play the Saints....man do I LOVE football!

Football season makes me a happy camper...

I think this song is a pretty good representative of football

BOYS OF FALL

When I feel that chill and smell that wet cut grass
I'm back in my helmet cleats and shoulder pads
Standin in the huddle listenin to the call
Fans going crazy for the boys of fall
They didn't let just anybody in that club
Took every ounce of heart and sweat and blood
To get to wear those game day jerseys down the hall
King of the school man we're the boys of fall
Well it's turnin' to face the stars and stripes
It's fighting back them butterflies
It's call it in the air alright, yes sir we want the ball
And it's knockin heads and talkin trash
It's slinging mud and dirt and grass
It's I got your number, I got your back
When your backs against the wall
You mess with one man you got us all
The Boys of Fall
In little towns like mine it's all they got
Newspapers clippings fill the coffee shops
The old men will always think they know it all
Young girls will dream of The Boys of Fall
Well it's turnin' to face the stars and stripes
It's fighting back them butterflies
It's call it in the air alright, yes sir we want the ball
And it's knockin heads and talkin trash
It's slinging mud and dirt and grass
It's I got your number, I got your back
When your backs against the wall
You mess with one man you got us all

House Progress

I just spent a better part of the afternoon watching the guys working on the house. I have always enjoyed watching guys work. When I was little I would watch my dad (and other men) work for HOURS...or at least it seemed like hours. Daddy's little helper right here!!!! :D

Anyways....

One of my really good friends is installing the A.C. it is fun to get to hang out with him while he slaves away....I like to think that he is happy for the entertainment and the errands I run for him.

Enough talk, here's some pics!!!! :D

Here is a pic of my new room as it stands now......

This is my parents' room.......

And last but not least...I will share the front of the house with a part of the old house in it :D.....

My First Blog...EVER!

Well, here goes! :D

I am excited to try this out...I have always liked having journals, but I never keep up with them. I hope that I am better at this than at a handwritten journal.

Right now I am studying for my licensure exam to officially become a Physical Therapist Assistant. It is kind of nerve racking to have this enormous test in my near future, so I am trying to really prepare myself so that I don't walk into the testing center with nerves galore.

Other than the test, I currently have some pretty big and exciting things happening in my life.

1. I graduated college (it seemed to take FOREVER)
2. My parents are building a house and will soon after become foster parents for medically fragile children
3. I got my first ever job offer....SUPER EXCITED :D
4. I have a couple nephews on the way (since I don't have biological siblings...my best friends are my siblings and I wouldn't have it any other way!!)

(I will add more pics when I get them :D)
